[español a venir]

Le vin. Vino. Vinho. Wein. Wine by any other name always sounds as sweet.

As you may have gleaned from this blog, I love wine. And I love languages. I am fluent in lots of them: English, French, Spanish, and of course, wine speak.

But being fluent in a language doesn’t make you a translator. Just because your friend Linda took French in high school doesn’t mean she can translate your ad for French-speaking audiences. Trust me, native speakers can tell that Linda is not a professional. Or worse, that you used the dreaded Google Translate. Do not be the next Translation Fail circulating on social media.

LCBO sign missing French translation

Woops, missed a sentence on the third line!

Luckily, I have two post-secondary degrees in translation, certification from the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario, and 15 years of professional experience. Plus I’m a certified sommelier. My passion for wine and languages will translate to your finished product—guaranteed.

I translate wine speak in three languages:

  • French ⇒ English
  • English ⇒ French
  • Spanish ⇒ English

You spend hours, if not days, crafting your message. Whether it’s a short-and-sweet wine description or an entire website that needs translating, give your marketing materials the linguistic attention they deserve. Let a professional translator transpose them into another language to naturally convey your message and writing style and ultimately attract new business.

Please reach out if I can help with your next wine translation project, big or small!
