Time for Wining with Mel’s Happy Hour!
These virtual wine tasting chats will give you:
- the vocabulary you need to describe wines
- a chance to practice tasting wines like a pro
- confidence to talk about wine
- new recommendations of wines to try
- an excuse to drink wine (albeit virtually) with people outside your household!
Just because I am a certified sommelier doesn’t mean this virtual wine tasting will be dull and stuffy. I want to make discovering wine tasting fun and easy. So if you are looking for wine tasting events that are:
- snobby
- pretentious
- boring
- passive lectures
…then these events are NOT for you.
This will be a gathering of open-minded wine lovers of all ages.
I’ll even put real pants on! Don’t worry, you can keep your sweatpants on. There definitely won’t be dress code.
And the best part is it doesn’t matter where you live! I go live from Ottawa, but people sign in from all across North America.

Events will be participatory, meaning you can ask questions and practice talking about wines from day one.
